Urology San Antonio Provider
A Texas native and lover of Mexican food, Doctor Natalie Gaines is a fellowship trained urologist with Urology San Antonio. Her specialty is Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
“A lot of the conditions that I treat are quality of life conditions,” says Dr. Gaines. “They are not life-threatening, but they do affect how well you are living. You may not realize how much of an impact these problems have on your life until we start working on them. We may not fix them overnight, but we will get them to a place where you are happy and not focused on your bladder or pelvis.”
Dr. Gaines is a Graduate of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, TX. She completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery with the Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, MI.
Her family and faith instilled values that prioritized helping others in ways they cannot help themselves.
“Being a physician is a lot like being a detective – by working through a patient’s history and supplementing with examination and any necessary testing, you can get to the bottom of what is affecting him or her.”
Improving the lives of patients is her primary reason for becoming a urologist, but she also credits the specialty as having “the best jokes.”
When she’s not helping patients, you’ll find her spending time with her her husband, young daughter, and large extended family. She has two large breed dogs and enjoys reading, swimming, boating, playing the bassoon, and watching live music of all types.
