Kyle J. Weld, MD
Dr. Kyle J. Weld is a board-certified urologist at Urology San Antonio’s Westover Hills location, offering comprehensive care for men and women. He has advanced expertise in treating all urologic cancers—including adrenal, kidney, bladder, prostate, and testicular—as well as complex kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dr. Weld is highly skilled in minimally invasive procedures, with extensive experience in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Weld is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. After his urology residency at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Weld completed a fellowship specializing in Endourology and Robotics at Washington University in St. Louis.
Before joining Urology San Antonio, Dr. Weld served 20 years in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Colonel. He served as Commander of the Urology Department at Wilford Hall and Program Director of the Urology Residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Dr. Weld is known for performing the first robotic surgery in the Air Force. Dr. Weld is also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as a urologic surgeon at the 332nd Air Force Theater Hospital in Balad, Iraq.
