Stone Oak deserves great urological care, so we’ve added a great physician to our practice! We’re happy to announce that Katherine J. Cockerill, MD, is now seeing patients at our Stone Oak location.
Dr. Cockerill completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in Austin and medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Both her surgical internship and her urology residency were completed at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Cockerill practices patient-centered care, a belief that was developed during her time at Mayo Clinic. “My training at Mayo Clinic has ingrained in me the core value that the patient’s needs come first. I carry this with me in my day to day practice and believe that shared decision making produces the best outcomes and satisfaction among patient and physician.”
In her spare time, you can find Dr. Cockerill running, biking, hiking, spending time on the water, exploring new places, and hanging out with family. She’s also on a never-ending quest to find San Antonio’s best breakfast tacos.
